Referendum Increase Calculator

This calculator provides the estimated range of property tax for the 2025 tax year, based on the information provided by Sussex County's Property Reassessment website.  The range includes the tax rates for Indian River School District, Sussex Technical High School, and Sussex County, which are part of the annual property tax bills.  This calculator also includes the calculated referendum increase, and the total estimated range with the passage of the referendum.

Your 2025 assessed value can be found on the communication you should have received from Tyler Technologies or on the County's website.

Through reassessment, property values increased at various rates.  Some properties were previously underassessed and may see a tax increase, while other properties were previously overassessed and may see tax relief.

To determine the effect the reassessment and the passage of the referendum will have your property taxes, compare your total tax charges prior to any tax credits to the Estimated Post-Referendum Tax Range.
