* - New polling place as determined by the Delaware Department of Elections
Indian River School District residents who are U.S. citizens at least 18 years of age are eligible to vote in the referendum. Voter registration is not required, but residents must provide proof of identification or residency at each polling place. Residents may vote at any of the eight polling places.
To be eligible to vote, an individual's residence in the Indian River School District must be his or her primary residence.
Absentee ballots may be requested via U.S. Mail until noon on Friday, May 30. In-person absentee voting is available at the Department of Elections Sussex County Office until noon on Wednesday, June 4. Request for Absentee Ballot forms are available at all district schools. Because school will be in session during the referendum, traffic near the polling places may be heavy when students are dropped off in the morning and dismissed in the afternoon. To avoid this congestion, it is recommended that voters avoid polling places during the following times:
East Millsboro Elementary School 8:15-8:45 a.m. and 3:15-3:45 p.m.
Georgetown Elementary School 8:15-8:50 a.m. and 3:15-3:50 p.m.
Indian River High School 7:00-7:30 a.m. and 2:00-2:30 p.m.
Lord Baltimore Elementary School 8:00-8:30 a.m. and 3:00-3:45 p.m.
Sussex Central High School 7:00-7:30 a.m. and 2:00-2:45 p.m.
