Board Approves Revised Hybrid Schedule

The Indian River Board of Education has approved a revised hybrid learning schedule that will allow students in Grades 4-8 to begin receiving in-person instruction at their schools earlier than what was previously planned.

Under the revised schedule, hybrid students in Grades 4-6 will begin receiving in-person instruction at their schools the week of October 12. Hybrid students in Grades 7-8 will begin receiving in-person instruction the week of October 19. In-person instruction for hybrid students in Grades 2-3 will begin the week of October 5 as previously scheduled. 

Instruction schedules will remain the same for students participating in the remote learning model for the first marking period.

The hybrid schedule at the high school level will remain the same with only ninth-grade students receiving in-person instruction during the first marking period. Those students will begin attending in-person on November 9. Please note that the hybrid schedule for all high school students is currently under review to determine if students may receive in-person instruction earlier than originally anticipated. All students should have already received their class schedules and cohort assignments from their schools.
