Five-Day In-Person Schedule Planned for 2021-22
Posted on 05/25/2021
At its regular monthly meeting on May 24, the Indian River Board of Education announced its intent to return to a five-day in-person learning schedule for all students for the 2021-2022 school year.

Statement from Superintendent Jay Owens: “Based on the recent guidance from Delaware Department of Public Health and the Governor’s office regarding social distancing and the relaxation of capacity limits for school transportation, it is the intent of the Indian River School District to operate in a 5-day per week, full day, in-person instruction model for the 2021-2022 school year. The District is currently developing plans for all students to fully return to the classroom at the start of the 2021-2022 school year. The District has no plans to return to a hybrid (remote/in-person) model.  We would like to thank everyone for their patience and understanding during this challenging year.”
