Howard T. Ennis Educational Services

Howard T EnnisHoward T. Ennis Educational Services are provided to all students (preschool through 21 years old) with significant disabilities within the Indian River School District. Special education services are provided by trained and experienced teachers, therapists, nurses and paraeducators under the leadership of a coordinating team of administrators. Howard T. Ennis preschool program accepts model peers. Model peers are students who are behavioral and language role models for students with severe and moderate intellectual disabilities and/or Autism.

Who is Eligible for Model Peers?

  • Applicants must turn 4 years of age by August 31st of the enrolling year.
  • Applicants must be a resident of the Indian River School District or Sussex County
  • In order to meet the criteria of the Howard T. Ennis students’ least restrictive environment IEP requirements, model students must remain in the program throughout the entire 12 month period.

Documentation Needed

  • For verification of age - Child’s birth certificate
  • Proof of residency
  • Student Registration form
  • Immunizations and physical
