The mission of the Indian River School District T.O.T.S. (Transitioning Our Toddlers to School) program is to provide a developmentally appropriate and child-centered education, along with therapy services, for children ages 3 and 4 with special needs.
We focus on the whole child, creating an environment that integrates social-emotional, physical and cognitive development into our everyday classroom activities. We believe children learn best through hands-on experiences and actively participating in their own learning. Our curriculum offers whole group, small group and individual instruction by highly qualified, certified special education teachers. We recognize that children come from diverse cultural and economic backgrounds and develop at their own pace. Therefore, lessons are individualized and differentiated based on each student’s needs and Individual Education Program.
Our goal is to provide a strong foundation that ensures future academic success and will foster a love for learning that will last a lifetime.
