In 2016-2017, the Indian River School District’s Special Education Task Force (SETF) is working to create a portfolio of the district’s existing services and develop a framework for special education based on best practices and stakeholder feedback. This framework will benefit students today and into the future while serving as a model of excellence in the State of Delaware.
Parents and families are at the core of our success. Therefore, the SETF is hosting a series of Parent Focus Group meetings during the 2016-2017 school year. The meeting schedule is as follows:
Wednesday, October 12, 2016 - Millsboro Middle School, 6:00 p.m.
Wednesday, November 30, 2016 - Selbyville Middle School, 6:00 p.m.
Wednesday, February 8, 2017 - Georgetown Middle School, 6:00 p.m.
Wednesday, March 22, 2017 - Millsboro Middle School, 6:00 p.m.
These sessions will give parents a chance to provide their thoughts, input and feedback about the future of special education in the Indian River School District. All parents of district students are welcome to attend any session.
